Welcome!

"Adopt a 'Do - Cute Girls Hairstyles" is primarily a step-by-step photo hairblog for moms of little girls with little time in the mornings. We have hairdo's for holidays, school, church, parties, holidays, dancing, prom, recitals, cheerleading, etc. This site also includes entries about many of my passions. Aside from cute hairstyles for girls, one is adoption. Eventually, I may add something else. Prepare for compliments!

Tween Hairdo: Simply Fun Combo

Tween HairdoTween HairstyleThis hairstyle is nice because it can be a fancy "dressy do" or a casual fun do. Use it for a fancy family party, church, or even just a regular school day. It can also be used on long hair or short hair (I have done it on long hair here).

Items Needed: Brush, comb, hairspray, 3-barrel curling iron, flat iron, curling iron, and 3 rubber bands.

Time Requirement: 15 minutes ***Could take longer if you get more elaborate**

Start with DRY hair. Part on the left. My daughter's hair is pretty much naturally straight so I just let it air dry. But if you have curly hair you may want to straighten it first...Simply Fun Combo #1Now part a little section on the left and braid it (secure ends with rubber band)...Simply Fun Combo #2Simply Fun Combo #3Section off a little piece in the back of hair and braid it (also securing with rubber band)...Simply Fun Combo #4Simply Fun Combo #5Section off a piece in the front right of hair and braid (also securing with rubber band)...Simply Fun Combo #6Simply Fun Combo #7Now pick up a piece of hair next to each braid and *three-barrel* it (you will do three sections in total)...Simply Fun Combo #8Simply Fun Combo #9Simply Fun Combo #10Now pick up a piece of hair on the other side of each braid and curl it with a curling iron. You will do between 3-5 curls. Just fill in any blank areas...Simply Fun Combo #11Simply Fun Combo #12Simply Fun Combo #13You will now have this. Simply Fun Combo #14Simply Fun Combo #15Obviously, the more sections you do... the longer it will take. But it can be really fun! The above picture was taken of "K" in the morning. Later that day after hiking and playing in the canyons, this is what she looked like (the hairdo held up really well!)...Cute Hairstyles for GirlsLittle Girl Hairstyles

The do is really cute, but I had to comment on the utter cuteness of all 4 girls in the canyons!!! They are all so adorable - you need more photos of them together more often! :)

OK, I just have to ask: Do you always begin by 'part on the left' because that's her natural part, or does that actually matter? If people part my hair on the left it drives me straight up a wall because my natural part is on the right...
