This is also a style that is very tough to teach via photos, unless I wanted to post 20-25 pictures enough to demonstrate the exact technique. I thought a video tutorial would be more helpful, so you will have to let me know how you like it. (I would recommend not accessorizing this hairdo, but you may opt for a ponytail in the back if your DD is going to be active that day. That is what I did when my DD had a soccer game on Saturday!)
This "Fall-Through" or Curtain/Waterfall French Braid took me less than three minutes to complete after I had straightened my DD's hair! You will get plenty of compliments on this one!
Enjoy!!!

Oh, Mindy, I love this do and I wondered how to make it! I'm so glad you posted the tut for it :)
I see you got her hair cut too. It looks nice. I'm excited to see how you adapt some of your styles for this shorter hair. It about the length of my little girl's hair :)
Any plans for some Halloween hair?!?! {hint, hint} I was trying to adapt the Heart hair into a bone of some type. I didn't have any luck working it out. Maybe you could come up with something???
thanks for sharing,
amy
Beautiful!!! I don't think I've ever seen this before but I'd love to try it - thanks!
Way cute!! So do you just do the same braid on the other side?? Sorry if that's a stupid question....
This is so cute! I am still working on my french braid skills but once I get it down I will definitely be trying this! :)
How pretty! One of my daughters is Very Fancy and she will love this new braid. Thank you for posting.
Thank you so much for the video tutorial! I actually tried this do yesterday and couldn't quite get it right. I'm so excited to try it again.
LOVE it!!
so cute! We'll try it tomorrow for school! :)
Wow. I love this. thanks for the idea. we'll try it tomorrow.
very cute. i love it!
Thanks for the video. I tried to follow a You-tube tutorial on the same braid, but it wasn't as easy to follow as yours. You did a great job of explaining it.
SOOOO cute!!! I love all the hairdos you do!! I have done several of them and I alway get great comments about how cute they are!!!
I LOVE IT!!! I have hair about the length of your daughter's, and love this for an "adult do"! Any tips on doing it to yourself?? I can easily french braid my own hair, and would love to know if you've ever done this to yourself.

Thank you thank you! I have seen this hair SO many times and have not been able to figure out how it is done. This is perfect, can't wait for DD to get home from school to try it! Thank you!
I love this! I can not wait to try it, and the video was super easy to follow- I've had so many compliments on my daughters hair since I found this blog! I always tell them where to find it!
You are so amazing! I have seen this type of braid blogged before but COULD NOT figure it out from pictures alone. I can't wait to try this one! My DD loves quick hair do's and this one definately falls into that category! Thanks again! Sarah
P.S. Does it work as well to do it with wet hair? We all have STRAIGHT hair so straightening isn't necessary.
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! My little girl needs to hurry up and grow some hair so I can try this!!!! Sadly, I've got a while yet! I've never seen this in person....
This hairstyle is so pretty, and quick at that to! I wonder what it would look like with an inside-out braid?? I've done quite a few of the hairstyles you have on your blog, and my niece never fails to get compliments! Thanks for such a great blog, it helps me carry on the practices of my mother. She always made sure we had neatly combed hair no matter where we were going. Anytime I'm having hair-doers block I can usually find a new do' or a twist on a classic. Your doing a great job keep it up!
This is adorable!
Thanks so much for the video - for us challenged short-haired Mom's who have never had long hair in their life (the curls just don't grow down)so we can learn to do their daughter's hair.
Love this! I have tried so hard to do it from pictures and could never figure it out so thanks for the video it totally helps!!
I'll have to give this a try. I love all of your do's and have enjoyed trying them out on my daughter. Thank you so much for sharing!
I gave you an award! Please stop by my blog to pick it up.

Love this one! Can't wait to try it!
I think our daughters are in the same school class!
Yesterday was my first visit to your blog - found it linked to a friend's. Tried this hair do on my 5 year old's LONG hair. It was darling, but we took it out so I could try the twist with bun at side bottom - just put the pony at bottom. I've never been able to get a twist to stay in her hair (after MULTIPLE attempts). Your video was the trick! Thanks! It looked so cute!
This morning I spent lots of time looking at your older posts and did the 3 hearts on her today. She LOVES it! It has been a while since I'd pulled my topsy turvy out, and it was fun to use again.
Thanks for all the cute ideas and PLEASE keep the videos rolling! I'll be a frequent visitor from AZ now that I've found you!
PS - My little ones have the same ring as your little one holding her hair back. :)
I think I might just try this one for homecoming!
I tried this the other day on my first grader and it looked super cute. You were right though, it definitely doesn't stand up to much activity- by the time she got home that afternoon it was looking extremely rough and she said they didn't even have P.E. that day! I think this will be a Sunday hair do from now on! It did look really cute to begin with- thanks for sharing!
Love, love, love the videos! It makes it so easy to grasp! Thanks
very cute. great video. thank you
I've always wanted to know how to do that. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for posting this. Tonight is the first night I have attempted a braid on my daughter. She has very fine hair and hates for me to do anything to it. It tangles and gets all matted very easily. :(
Well I tried this one tonight and it was so fast and simple. She didn't complain too much, and it looks so cute!!!
Mindy, I love this hairdo. I can't wait to try it on my daughter. Very, very cute!!!
I LOVE this style and have been trying to figure it out for a while! Thank you SO MUCH. I had to watch this several times and practice with my daughter right here by the computer before I finally got it, though. LOL
The video tutorials are awesome and my 3-year-old daughter loves watching them with me and then trying the hairdo out on her. Thanks for all your entries! We love your blog!
wow thats amazinggg!!!
I've never seen this before and it's beautiful. Thanks for the video too!
How adorable! I love this, I have an 11 1/2 year old who is very stubborn about her hair but I bet this would be a good way for her to keep those bangs out of her eyes while she is growing them long again! I can't wait to get home and show her this!
Thanks for the video how-to!

Thank you so much for these GREAT hair how-to's! This waterfall is adorable. I have never seen that before!
Do you think this would work if i decided to curl the rest of the hair after I made the waterfall french braid? I'm thinking about wearing this to prom actually. Thanks.
ps. your hairstyles are so cute!!
