This is a fun braid as it can accent pretty much any hairdo, be the feature hairdo in a combo, or a standalone like I have done here. You could even start lower on the one side and bring it over the top as a headband. Many sites show how to do this braid and Jill recently posted her version on our Facebook page.
The end result of this braid looks so intricate that other moms will think that you had spent 30 minutes weaving it when it really only took you 2 minutes (literally) with a simple braid! Also, don't forget to join our Facebook fanpage, Hairstyles For Girls! Enjoy!

that is AWESOME! thank you so much for sharing...i'm going to go try it right now!
My Ally's a celebrity, lol! I'm flattered that you thought the style I did was good enough to link to :)
I just tied the ribbon around the top elastic, the split the hair into 2 sections and used the ribbon as the 3rd strand in the braid. Then, when you slide the hair up on the ribbon, some of the ribbon pattern peeks through the braid. Plus, then you can tie the end of the ribbon in a bow or clip it off instead of having a long strand of hair hanging down out of the braid.
How funny you posted about this one today, that was the braid I had chosen to do on my girlie today!
How easy! Thanks for the video!
Oh I just love it!!! I cannot wait to try this on my little girl in the morning. What a great site - I just found you tonight!
That has now become my signature braid! I love the way you post easy hairstyles! I used to try to think of cool, fun hairstyles. Now that I learned how to do this braid I had a unique, creative hairstyle that took no more than 4 minutes!
