About Us
The idea for Cute Girls Hairstyles began years ago. It was 2001, in fact, when my twin daughter’s were 18 months old. I was getting tired of the simple “waterspout” piggies on top and eager to try out some new hairstyles. As their hair grew longer, and as my mind could not keep track of the hairdo’s… I decided to take pictures of each hairstyle and place them into a small photo album to be kept by the bathroom sink.
Well, we added two more daughters and many more hairstyles as the years went by. When the twins entered school, I found them flipping through the hairdo book every morning looking for their ‘do for the day. {They were certainly more invested in the hairdo time when they had a say in which hairdo to go with!}
During those seven years, that photo book had been worn ragged by all four of my girls. It was not until October 2008 when I finally decided to record the hairstyles in a blog format so that I had something “permanent” to reference. As friends, family, and even strangers asked me how I made a certain hairstyle, it was very easy to refer them to the blog addess.
Well, friends told more friends, and they told friends, etc. Now Adopt a ‘Do – Cute Girls Hairstyles has become a hairdo reference for tens of thousands of moms all over the world!
I also share my passion for adoption and we have assisted several families to be more open to it… even helping place several beautiful babies into wonderful adoptive homes. We now have a total of six beautiful children, each of whom we love dearly. Hi, can you tell me how your daughter’s bangs were cut and how you style them? I’m an idiot when it comes to my own hair, but somehow my friends’ hair looks awesome when I do it. Please explain also how you do the knotted braid- I’m in 7th grade and I’m going to a dance, and I love the knotted braid, but it frustrates me because I have bangs and layers, and I can’t get anyone to help me!

I just started viewing your videos a couple of weeks ago and love it. My daughter now looks forward to getting ready for school in the morning because we are trying so many new do’s. She gets so many complements at school and it makes her feel so great. Keep doing what your doing!!!
okay, adorable! I am 11 years old, in Oklahoma, in a little town called choctaw, looking for things to do with my incredibly wrong length hair. It is too short for most of the dos you do. But is just too long for the shortie dos to look cute. BTW love your new little girl!!! lol. love your new dady girl i am the youngest of three i have a brother and a sister they annoy me to death they don,t leave me alone and they treat me like dirt and my mom is no help they are both teenagers and only listen to eachother I could realy use some pointers on how you maneges 4 drematec girls and 2 little ones how do you keep up with 6 my mom can barly keep up with 3 by the way i love the hair styles i use a diffrent one everyday my hair is long and thick just like the twins so when my mom helps with my hair she gets so frustrated that i end up doing them myself keep doing what your doing and responed bye

I really love your blog but could you post some baby girl hairstyles or direct me where to find them here? My daughter was a preemie so she is small for her age and has very fine hair a little longer than shoulder length. She is 3 and I would love to learn how to do cute hair styles for her but the ones on here that I have looked at require thicker hair than I think she will ever have. Any suggestions?

I love your videos! Yesterday I tried one of your hairdos on my daughter and everybody commented on it! The cashier at the supermarket asked me for your website
Another thing I wanted to mention was that the site is not very easy to navigate, I mean, there are a lot of links to other sites and blogs but I couldn’t find the categories. I would be better to have the categories below the pages on the left or right side bar. That way if I want to find the posts for french braids or 5 minute hairdos I can go directly to the category.

I love your website, I am a mom from Holland and my oldest girl (8) had done her communion last Sunday. Because I did want to give her a good hairstyle I googled around and found you. Since then my girls ask every day a new hairdo from this site. Thanks for sharing all your idea’s. Unfortunatly my girls hair is much thinner. But also we can do a lot of the hairdo’s.

My daughter is 18mo old and I am begining to want to try new things with her hair and just found ur site 2day… It is amazing and has given me lots of great examples… Thanks soooo much. Did any of your girls fight getting their hair done? If so, any advise you have on getting one to sit still and not fuss would be much appreciated. I use detangler and I don’t think that anything is hurting her she just does not want to sit still so then the fussing starts and it makes things very difficult. I used to be able to put parts all of and have lil pigtails when her hair was shorter but now it’s almost impossible to get anything done, except one big part down the middle and pigtails and sometimes we have to fight it out to get that much done so I mainly am forced to stick with one simple ponytail on top…

Hi! I love the hairstyle you’ve created over the years/months. I’m in 7th grade and I need a something for my hair type, but I’ve tried several of yours. I have long, curly, black hair. The texture is soft, but at times it can be thick and a little less curly than usual, but if it’s brushed regularly it will stay nice and soft. Any suggestions, please?
