Hi Ladies, I think you will love this one! This was the very first Daddy ‘Do hairstyle that my husband filmed (right before the Simple Braid tutorial we posted recently).
The style is really cute, and is actually one submitted by a follower on Facebook. What is unique about this hairstyle is that it looks far more complicated than it is!
It gives a similar look of the Fishtail Braid without having to spend alot of time doing the actual braid. All it takes is three simple flips and you are done!
The filming of this hairstyle tutorial absolutely cracked me up, because it REALLY shows how funny yet sweet it can be to have a daddy do a daughter’s hair!
First, notice how gentle he is being while trying to flip the hair, then notice how he confuses himself on how to put in a hairband… not once, but TWICE! As he misses it the second time, check out my daughter’s face! She could barely hold back her laughter (and you can hear me snickering as well)!
Items Required: Rat-tail comb, brush, Topsy Tail tool, spray bottle, three hair bands, hairspray, and accessory (if desired).
Time Requirement: 5 minutes.
Skill Level: Easy
My hubby was proud of the outcome and so was I! If you also like this hairstyle… be sure to let us know!

I started posting a few Daddy ‘Do hairstyles (girls hairstyles so easy even a dad can do them) over 18 months ago. Many moms have responded that they loved the idea and offered the suggestion that maybe I have my husband do them as a tutorial.
Well, it took 18 months, but my sweet hubby finally relented and decided to do it! (He loves our girls so much that all they really had to do was blink their eyelashes a few times and he finally gave in!)
Here he demonstrates for all dads how to do a simple braid…
Not bad for a first try, right? Honestly, it was somewhat painful for me to see my hubby struggle to braid, knowing I could do it so much faster, but notice how gentle he is being and more importantly… notice the expressions on my daughter’s face as he does her hair! That is what this is all about! What a great daddy!
We uploaded the video to YouTube the other day, and suprisingly noticed the following statistics only 24 hours later! Apparently moms worldwide were endeared to a video of a daddy doing his daughter’s hair, that it garnered several YouTube awards that day! It has been, by far, our most popular posting after only 24 hours!

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Skill Level: Easy

Comment on this post »What is fun about having posted so many cute and easy hairstyles on this site, is that you can use any combinations of past styles to create a new one!
Here is a hairstyle that incorporates concepts used in previous tutorials I have done. The end result is very cute…
This style incorporates a front-to-side twist as well as a side-ponytail flipunder. To vary the hair style a bit, you can use a French Front or a Reverse French Front instead of the front twist. Oh, yes… and now you can watch the new tutorials in HD, if you wish!
For anyone looking to purchase a Topsy Tail, you can purchase one from the Amazon link in my left sidebar… or you can make your own with wire or a pipe cleaner (I will be posting a tutorial on how to do the latter in the next week).
Items Needed: Rat-tail comb, water spray bottle, one ponytail holder, Topsy Tail.
Time Requirement: 2-3 minutes.
Skill Level: Easy
Happy Hairdoing!

Comment on this post »Here is a very simple and cute hairstyle idea for keeping your bangs out of your eyes. It can also be done on any length of hair (short or long), whether or not there are layers, and can be done in under a few minutes.
I have promised that I will be adding more short hairstyles, given that I and my youngest daugther have short hair. Again, since the hair is shorter, you really are limited on what you can do in terms of braids, etc. Moms, this one really is for you! I wear this all the time!!!
Items Needed: Brush or comb, two bobby pins, hairspray (if desired).
Time Requirement: 2-3 minutes
Skill Level: Easy
