By request, I have started to go through some of our short hairstyles that we have not yet filmed.
I have done this double twist hairstyle before in a photo tutorial, but here I decided to film it on my #4 daughter who has the short A-line bob. It is another simple way to pull the bangs back out of your face.
Although this is listed as a short hairstyle, it can be done on any length of hair. If you are concerned about flyaways… feel free to use a good pomade or fiber gum in the twists. Enjoy!
Items Needed: Rat-tail comb, 1 gator clip, one hair elastic, bobby pins, water bottle and hairspray (if desired).

I am on a recent mission to provide those of you moms some more simple, yet cute, mommy hairdos! I mean, we make our girls look cute… but sometimes we forget about ourselves! Actually, girls of all ages can use this, and it literally takes one minute to complete!
We call this the Single Twistback, and it can be used to switch up the French Front hairstyle that you are seeing everywhere right now. I show two ways to finish it off, but you can really use your own imagination and see where it goes!
{Yeah, I can’t really hide it! I am still sooooo excited about being named as a finalist in the YouTube contest above! My girls keep asking me where we stand in the voting (it is close), I think the twins are maybe more “into” this friendly competition than I am! Now, back to the hairstyle…}
Items Needed: Rat-tail comb, one rubber hair band, two small bobby pins
Time Requirement: 1-2 minutes
Skill Level: Easy

Comment on this post »Over the past few months I have received a few inquiries asking for hair headband hairstyles . You could say that the hair headbands are somewhat of a trend that is very popular with teens today. This style is a fairly simple one, and can be done in the normal French Braid style, or in the Reverse (Dutch) Braid style, depending on how you want it to look.
Also, you can finish the headband in any number of ways. You can leave the braid hanging on the one side, or you can do what I did and roll it up and bobby pin it into a super cute rosette. The latter is not a new concept and is not something I could claim, but the combination is wonderful.

Comment on this post »Here is a very simple and cute hairstyle idea for keeping your bangs out of your eyes. It can also be done on any length of hair (short or long), whether or not there are layers, and can be done in under a few minutes.
I have promised that I will be adding more short hairstyles, given that I and my youngest daugther have short hair. Again, since the hair is shorter, you really are limited on what you can do in terms of braids, etc. Moms, this one really is for you! I wear this all the time!!!
Items Needed: Brush or comb, two bobby pins, hairspray (if desired).
