This is a hairstyle my girls practically grew up on… it was also the style that most prompted me to start this blog. Everyone always stopped me, no matter where we were, to ask how we did the style…
Items Needed: Rat-tail comb, spray bottle, brush, and 4 rubber bands.
Time Required: 7-10 minutes.
Skill Level: Medium
For this cute hairstyle, begin by parting hair on either side from face to back…
Now section from middle part to right ear…
Section from middle part to left ear…. use a rubber band or clip to hold section out of the way. Add another clip or rubber band to the hair in back to keep it out of the way.
Using the section with the MOST hair, separate section into 3 smaller sections.
Starting with the section closest to face, begin to twist from middle part to ear…
Repeat until you have three finished twists.
While your daughter holds the three twists, undo hair in back and separate into two sections down the middle…
Gather right side of back hair and create a ponytail. Hold with hand.
BEFORE putting rubber band on the hair, add in the three twists. Now rubber band all together.
Now take ponytail and twist…
Wrap twist around and around the rubber band to create a twisty bun.
Use another rubber band to secure the twist and the bun. I like to have the ends hanging out so I leave about 2 inches of hair hanging out of the bun at the top.
Repeat whole process on the other side.
Rat the ends of hair a little to add fluff. Use hairspray to make them stay in place.
Happy Hairdoing!

Here is a cute hairstyle that is so simple to do, and looks super cute!
Items needed: Brush, comb, water, hairspray/gel, 1 rubber band.
Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes
Skill Level: Easy
Start by parting the hair on top of the head into one middle section. The parts will run from front of head towards back of head…
Then create a rectangle shape by parting across the head between two previous parts…
Separate that section into two parts…
Take the two pieces of hair and tie like you are doing the first step of tying a shoelace (cross the two parts and wrap one underneath)…
This is what it should look like at this point.
Now wrap the hair underneath again… essentially a double twist. It will look like this…
Pull both strands until knot becomes tight against head…
Repeat with a second rectangle just behind the first…
Pull remainder of hair into a side ponytail and add in the 4 strands of hair from the knots on top…
Happy Hairdoing!
