French Front: Subtle Side Ponytail

I receive quite a few comments on this very popular front french braid hairstyle everyone is wearing, wondering what other ways there are to finish it.  Honestly there are several ways to do it, and here is one more.  This one uses a subtle side ponytail…

The hairband accessory that I used is from TWISTband, which is a fun product but also provides a unique and fashionable way to hold hair.  They are stretchy, like spandex, come in all sorts of colors and patterns, and some can even be worn as bracelets to match!

They are perfect for little girls, tweens, teens, and moms!  I know there are some other hairstyles I can do that these will be perfect for (coming soon)!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 1 Twistband or 1 hair elastic, hairspray {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes
Skill Level: Easy
The video below shows how to finish this hairstyle…

Happy Hairdoing!

  1. Thank you so much for these fun hairstyles!!! They’re AMAZING!
I have been looking for something to do with my hair, as I have 3 feet of hair to take care of. My cousin introduced me to this and I have LOVED it! Most of these hairstyles work in my hair. Thanks for taking your time to do this!!

  2. really cute for school, you know what could be a good idea for a video? to do two little french braids or soccer braids as you called it and combine it in to one elastic like a ponitail and leave it like that or do a little flip and add a ribbon or flower anithing you want. Im wearing it now with a yellow ribbon and the flip. It looks cute!

  3. i love your hair styles…. im doing the side french braid for my dads wedding. i love doing your h air styles… there so good and easy and there different from other hair styles hope you guys can put some more hair styles on youtube …

  4. very cute!!! I love the look I use things like that all the time except I usually pull mine back into a high ponytail drapping the tail of braid across the side of my head.

  5. With so many daughter's this is a fast and cute hair do we use quite often, but we end it different. We do the french braid and just stop as if I were doing a little pony on the side (the braid is over the arch of the forehead only), then add curls or straighten it for my older girls.
Some people have food staples, we also have hair staples- quick, easy, and cute!
