Triple Lace Side Twists and Bonus Video by Twins

Bailey is becoming quite the little hairstylist, always trying new things out on her own!

Triple Lace Twists | Cute HairstylesThis past week, Bailey tried out this twist hairstyle and received compliments from her friends on it several times. I noticed the style even though she did not actually come up to me and show me… and sought her out and commented on it because she looked so darling wearing it!

{They grow up way to fast! I am so proud of the beautiful young women they are becoming!}

I thought she would turn me down because she was so busy this weekend, but she responded in a split-second eye blink that she would LOVE TO!

Here is Bailey teaching all of us how to create adorable triple lace twists!

Enjoy!

Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 3-4 small bobby pins, hairspray or pomade {if desired}.

Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes

Skill Level: Easy

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. I started with soft hair curls made by my wand {this step is optional, but adds great texture and volume to the hair. It would look equally as great on straight hair}…
  2. To begin the twists, create a part on one side of your head…
  3. Take a small sectioned strand from the top front of bangs and begin a twist {feel free to use a little Pomade in your strands to help keep the twists defined and without flyaways}…
  4. As you move back, add in hair strands only from the top into the top piece of the twist (this will creates the lace look of the twist}…
  5. When you get about 6 inches back from the front of your face, secure the twist with an elastic or a bobby pin {I prefer the latter}.
  6. Now move down about an inch and pick up another small piece of hair from the bangs, which will create the second twist…
  7. Repeat the Steps #3-5 to create another small lace twist, and secure with a bobby pin…
  8. Next, move down another inch and pick up your last small section of hair to create your third and final twist.
  9. Repeat Steps #3-5 one last time, and secure with a bobby pin.
  10. Add hairspray {if desired}.

Happy Hairdoing!
