Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, small hair elastics, bobby pin, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes

Skill Level: Easy

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Day:  Halfup Dutch Braids

  1. Start with a middle part.
  2. Pick up a small section of hair in the front.  Divide into three pieces and begin a dutch braid. This means you cross the outer strands under the middle strand. After the first stitch, pick up and add new pieces to your outer strand before crossing under the middle strand.
  3. Continue your dutch braid until you reach the center back of your head.  Stop adding in new hair and finish with a regular three strand braid all the way down.
  4. Go back and pancake your braid.
  5. Use a clip to secure your braid temporarily.
  6. Repeat dutch braid on other side.
  7. Place your two braids side by side with middle edges over lapping.  Secure together with bobby pins.
  8. Take out your clip.
  9. About halfway down your braids, combine the hair and re-braid into one.
  10. Secure with a bobby pin.
  11. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.

Night:  Dutch Braid Ponytail

  1.  Pick up the bottom half of your hair.  Pull up into a ponytail with the braid sitting on top.
  2. Secure with an elastic.
  3. Take the small elastic out of your braid and undo.
  4. Pick up a small piece of hair from your ponytail, wrap around your ponytail elastic and secure with a bobby pin.
  5. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.
