Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes

Skill Level: Medium

Step-By-Step Instructions:

  1. Start by picking up a good size piece of hair at the top of the head.  Divide into three pieces.
  2. Begin creating a French Braid.
  3. Once your braid reaches the middle of your ear, seperate your hair into two pieces and secure with a small elastic.
  4. Go back and carefully pull on the inner edges of your braid to create volume.
  5. To start your bun, tie your two pieces of hair into a knot and pin into place.
  6. Tie the tails of your first knot into another knot so it rests just above the first knot and pin into place.
  7. Depending on the length of your hair; pin the ends under your bun or if you have longer hair, twist your tails down and tuck under your bun.
  8. Once your bun is secure, you can go back and carefully tug on the edges to give your bun more volume.
  9. Add any additional pins for security.
  10. Finish with Hairspray {if desired}.
