Tips & Tricks #6: How to do a Zig-Zag Part

October 13, 2008

There are many ways to do a zig-zag part, but this is my personal favorite…

Items Needed: Spray bottle and rat-tail comb.

Time Requirement: 2 minutes

Skill Level: Easy

Begin with damp hair…

Begin by pulling comb through hair directly to right about 1-1.5 inches. Separate the hair to create a part…

Pick a spot that looks good and pull through hair directly to left…

Pull back through hair to right. Then again to the right…

This creates a lightning bolt looking zig-zag part…

I usually just stop the part at this point. If I need to section the hair in half, I do a straight part from here down. I simply think it looks cleaner… but that’s just my opinion.

Happy Hairdoing!
