I ALWAYS wet down my girls hair before styling. Either by having them shower or by using a spray bottle… but it needs to be wet. Not drippy wet, but not a fine mist either. I find the hairstyles stay in place much better. It also prevents the little fly-aways that love to poke out of great hairstyles.
