That’s what it’s all about…

I just wanted to share a quick comment I received from Megan, a faithful follower of the website since the beginning.  The comment touched me so much, I wanted to share it with everyone.  I had no idea in the beginning that this website blend of hairdo’s and adoption could be so meaningful to anyone other than me!  It was heartfelt and very much appreciated…

“Our little girl is going to be one next month. As I was getting an idea for my 4yr old’s hair this morning on your blog I thought to myself, what if I had never started to follow your blog… I would have never found the H2H agency and I don’t know how else I would of found our little girl. I just wanted to let you know that not only are you helping people make their girls look sooo cute, but you are changing lives. I know we can’t be the only family that has found the latest addition to our family through your blog. Thanks again!”

Megan, I am so happy for you!

Happy Hairdoing!

  1. P.S. Thank you for the hairstyles, my daughter (aka DD) hair is very long and we’ve always wanted to find more hair styles to try. I went on YouTube to see if i could find something and up pops your video’s, i loved everyone of them and watched them all in 2 days..haha.. I was excited to find out you lived in Utah, we do as well so it’s nice to support local peeps in our WONDERFUL STATE OF UTAH..YAY.. Thanks again, we LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!

  2. Hey Mindy,
I read your whole story about your adoption process and i had to stop several times to wipe away my tears to continue reading. It was VERY WELL WRITTEN and i deeply thank you for opening up such a private experience to share with us your thoughts and soul on the birth of your son in your family.

My Husband and I have been thinking about adopting for years, when the earthquake in Haiti happened we knew the Lord was pulling us to adopt, maybe in Haiti, maybe in United States, we would leave that up to him. Even though our 2 children (ages 7 and 9) were THRILLED about adopting a child and loved the idea of the African-American or Haitian child, we had our doubts about the expenses of it all. Not only paying for the adoption, but also paying for all the baby stuff we gave away after our daughter grew out of them which would lead us to buy all new. It was weighing heavy on our minds, until NOW. Your story kept me up all night thinking about how to make it work, so during breakfast i asked my husband if he would read your story while i got our children ready for school. It was hectic so i never had time to check in on him but when I was done, i walked back into the dining room to find my husband in a puddle of tears, he looked up at me and said “file the paperwork TODAY, we will adopt ASAP and i will make the finances come together no matter what it takes, i will pray for the Lord to lead me where I need to find it”. We both cried together holding hands and when our children came into the room they looked at us, without saying a word to them about what my husband was reading, my oldest, my son said “we’re adopting a baby aren’t we mom?”. Well i was SHOCKED to hear him nail it right on the nose, so i asked him “how do you know that?” and he said “the last time i seen you both cry that hard with a smile on your face was when we learned about the Haiti earthquake and you both said you wanted to adopt”. Kids are SO FACINATING, their minds are so pure with thoughts and memories, I LOVE IT!! So because of YOUR HEART AND SOUL pouring on paper, it has made us take a drastic leap into something we kept putting off and putting off. Amazing how we never know whose lives we’ll touch, and how it will forever change them. Thank you for being that person for our family and we will NEVER FORGET YOU. Your son and family are so BEAUTIFUL and are an inspiration to all of us. So thank you again for being our angel in the light.. =)

    Tara G.
