Hi there, it’s Malinda from Countryside Cravings bringing you something for the big game day! These Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels have all the flavors you want from a jalapeno popper all wrapped up in flaky crescent dough. Making them easier to make and eat!
So, is everyone getting ready for Super Bowl?? Have you decided what food you’re going to serve?? I hope you have room for one more addition because these pinwheels are quick and easy to make and hard to resist. I literally couldn’t stop eating them!
I love the flakey crescent dough in combination with the jalapeno popper filling. All I did was take soft cream cheese and add in chopped jalapenos, crispy bacon, Parmesan cheese along with mozzarella. Spread this over some crescent dough, roll it up and slice into rounds. Bake for 12-15 minutes and arm yourself because once you start snacking you’re not going to stop!
I do recommend using the crescent dough sheet because it will hold its shape better. If you only have regular crescent dough on hand that is okay too. Just be sure to press the seams together before spreading with the cream cheese mixture.
Until next time happy baking!
Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels
Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 15 min
Makes 14 rolls
Ingredients
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (can also use Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack)
¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped jalapeno slices (Jarred)
2 strips bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
1 (8 oz) tube Crescent dough sheet
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a small bowl combine cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, jalapenos and bacon.
Unroll crescent dough with long side facing you. Spread cream cheese mixture. Roll up and cut into 1 inch rounds. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool slightly before serving.
*Notes- I recommend using the crescent dough sheet because they hold their shape better and don’t spread. However, you can use regular crescent dough too. Just be sure to press the seams together before spreading with the cream cheese mixture.
