Simple Messy Braid | Braided Hairstyles

If you are like me, you’ve noticed that everyone in Hollywood {in TV, movies, etc.} is talking about the comeback of braid hairstyles.
Simply flip through magazines, catalogs, or beauty websites and see them there, too! Everyone is wearing braids and the best thing is that there are a million ways to wear them!
One of my very favorite braided hairstyles uses a small, added flair to a simple braid… what everyone is calling a Simple Messy Braid. This is the perfect second-day hairstyle {after curls the day prior} for a quick rush out the door.
I’ve received so many emails requesting a video for this hairstyle. One of our most loyal fans even asked 10+ friends to all email me within a few hours each asking for this style! I swear we have the best fans! Well, it definitely got my attention and my girls and I decided to make this our next tutorial.
Items Needed: Brush, comb, ponytail holder, hairspray {if desired}
Time Required: 2 minutes
Skill Level: Easy
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Begin with dry slightly messy or curly hair. {You can use a flat iron or wand to add a little curl to the top layer if needed}.
- Pull all hair loosely to one side, over your shoulder.
- Braid the hair using the regular braiding method.
- Tug on the “elbows” of the braid to loosen/flatten and soften the braid. This is called “pancaking” the braid.
- Curl any loose pieces of hair to frame your face. Remember, the braid is supposed to be messy!
- Bobby pin any problem strands into place, and you are good to go!

shut the fuck up! shes an amazing hairstyler, i love her so much she has so much talent, so i dont know why are you saying her hairstyles and daughters are ugly cause their not.HEAR ME? she is beautiful. her haierstyles are gorgeus. And her daughters are beautiful. They are the prettiest girl i have ever seen. I wish i was as gorgeus as they are. so she is olny helping us to learn more hairstyles so if you dont appreciate this you shouldnt watch it.

Your Daughters are all super cute! You are the one who helped me learn how to french braid. For a long time I could only to a outie braid on myself. But now I can do a regular one too! You and your inventive hairstyles ROCK
I love all you’re hairstyles you’re daughter is so Pretty the hairstyle that I really loved was the Ponytail bow I liked it because you can do it every where I’m a soccer player and I always do the messy braid because I have layered hair when I come back home for soccer it is alittle bit messier but it still looks pretty

I love doing different things with their hair and mine. they both have short hair like ur small daughter u demo’ed the bow tails on. Mine is shoulder length. Hi, Mindy <3. I'm a huge fan. Yesterday i bougt some pink hair pieces to clip in to my hair. I did so and made this awsome braid and it was so cool. And sorry for my bad english ( I think ) I'm just 12 and I'm norwegian

Do you know of the four strand braid? I do it at school sometimes. Me and my friends love hair so much, that at lunchtime we bring combs, bands and pins and do each others hair. I love bringing new hairstyles from your website across and I think your daughters are so cute, I’d love to be as pretty as them. Ignore that bully.
