Beautiful Combo Side Braid

This beautiful combo side braid can be as simple or as fancy as you want. One thing is for sure, you will turn heads and get lots of compliments!

Skill Level: Easy

Step-By-Step Instructions:

1. Start by sweeping all of your hair over to the side you want your braid.
2. Pick up a small section of hair at your part line and split it into 3 sections.
3. Begin creating a dutch braid. Pick up and add new pieces of hair on the outsides and cross under the middle strand.
4. Braid down very close to your face line.  In the photos you can see she has stayed close to her face and covering the ear.
5. When you reach the bottom your ear, start bringing pieces all the way over from the other side of you head.
6. Once you have finished adding in all of your hair, split your dutch braid into two pieces and begin a fishtail braid.
7. A fishtail braid is created by taking a small piece from the outside of one section and cross over adding to the second section.
8. Continue your fishtail all the way down and secure with an elastic.
9. Now go back and pull apart your braid.  Start with your dutch braid and focus on the edges. Tug and pull until you have a nice full braid.
10. Pull on the back to loosen and give fullness at the crown.  (shown in video)
11. Now pull and loosen your fishtail section until you have a nice full braid.
12. Spray with hairspray {if desired}.
