If any of you watched the Bachelor this past season, you may have noticed this super cute lace braid style from Michelle Money… arguably the most “controversial” but also one of the most beautiful girls that season.
This braid style is similar to a Reverse French Front, only that you pull hair into the braid from the top side only… so that the braid hangs down on the forehead like the fringe of a curtain. In my video example, I only wish I had braided the bottom side of the braid closer to her ear so that the braid swoops into the ponytail earlier… so please keep that in mind! It is super cute, nonetheless!
Although I used this style on my #3 daughter as an experiment, this style is perfect for teen/tween girls, and even moms, so it is sure to be a hit. You can technically use this braid style in any number of fun combinations (tucked behind the ear with the rest of the hair down and curly, into a messy bun, in an updo, into braids, etc).
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, hairspray, two hairbands, two small flower clips (or other accessories).
Time Requirement: 5-7 minutes
Skill Level: Medium

I love all of your hairstyles. I would have to say this is one of my favorites though.
I love her soft hair what’s her name?
I think these braids you to are amazing. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. Keep them coming. I’m so excited and will be even more excited once my 1 yr old’s hair starts growing longer. Right now my 12 yr old complains too much. Probably doesn’t help that I watch your videos and wait till she comes home from school every day to try a new braid, lol. Thanks so much, I’m having a blast.
Can you make a video in which you can wear for school but it should be 2 ponytails for medium hair if you can I am not forcing you or something just if you can. 😛
I wonder how this would look pancaked? Cute I bet.
I agree with a previous poster that it would be nice to see a tut on french braiding your own hair since the angles are totally different. I’ve found from years of experience that I do better without a mirror, going just by feel.
Keep up the great work and tutorials with your beautiful family. 🙂
I love this hairstyle! I did it on myself but it was tricky because I have bangs! I just tucked them under and used a bobby pin. Ill try to send you a picture!
This is super cute but i cant get it to work…ur really good a doin hair!!!
soooooo cute
Thank you for a awesome site, should add my Digg account!
this is soooo cute!!!! i love it! ill have to try it……….your kids are sooooo cute!
i love this
i love this i cant do it on my own hair though could you make a video for that
My mom tried that hairstyle on me and it didn’t really look good. :'(
Very cool!!! I will deff try!
were do you put when you pick up more hair in the midlle ?
This style is my new favorite – it looks great on my 6 year old who has nice thick hair and my 3 1/2 year old who has very thin hair. I LOVE this style – people are always complementing me on my girls hair and I always refer them to your site. Many thanks for all your wonderful videos.
I am 12 and I love your videos! This braid looked complicated on the video but I tried it on my hair. It turned out a bit differently as I didn’t do a parting at the front. Also I did your waterfall braid on my mum and it looked great I really want to try it on my friends when I next see them! By the way I can’t get a tipsy turvy tool because I live in England, what do I do?
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I’m not really one for 2 pony tails. Could you do it in one pony on the back of the head? by the way, i’m 10 and my mom loves to do my hair (well i ask her really nicely)
I LOVE this!! I saw it on American Idol and I was hoping you would post something like it because I wanted to do it really bad!! I wore it to school a couple days ago and I got TONS of compliments and people asking me how I did it!(:
I think it’s wonderful that she adopts babies. It shouldn’t matter whether their a different skin color or not, she is giving babies a real home and love, that maybe her birth parents couldn’t do. They will feel apart of the family because they are loved not by their skin color.
whats your girl ~3 called??? and the yungest? (urs by blood.. not adoption papers :L but really y do adopt kids that look really diff to you all?? tey wont really feel like they fit in not really not inside….)
Cute!I’m an adult but I still sometimes wear my hair in a braid. Cute idea indeed.
Cute hair – II’ll have to try that on my little one. Also LOVE your blue ring!
why do you alwys adopt kids a diff skin color from u?? its weird…
Her hair is super cute! I love your hair too!! You should make a video of the Do you are wearing 🙂
That is so cute. It is a nice hairstyle to start of Spring.
Do you find it easier to braid the hair wet or dry? My daughter has natural curly hair, when I try and do her hair dry it doesn’t work right. Her hair is king of hard to french braid just because of the curl.
Michelle made the show. I looked forward to every Monday just to see what she would do. Greg even watched.
I loved this braid when I saw it on Michelle on The Bachelor. I did it on my girlie and it was cute, but I couldn’t get it right on the forehead/hair line like her’s was. I love your variation on it. My girlie would love the way yours turned out. I’m going to have to give it a try.
I luv all ur hairstyles but I have supper curly hair and not a lot of them work for me. Could u post some videos for curly hair?
