Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 9 small hair elastics, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Requirement: 5 minutes

Skill Level: Medium

Step-By-Step Instructions:

  1. Begin by sweeping hair over one shoulder.  Divide hair into two even sections.  I like to also pull a few wispy pieces out to frame my face.
  2. Begin a normal fishtail and do about 5-6 fishtail stitches.
  3. Now add a small elastic to each of the two separate sections.  This helps keep them divided which creates the bubble effect.
  4.  Do 5-6 more fishtail stitches.
  5. Add another small elastic onto each of the two sections.
  6. Continue to repeat these steps over and over until you run out of hair.
  7. Secure the last section together with an elastic.
  8. Pancake or stretch the hair to add volume and softness to the overall fishtail.
  9. Loosen the top of the hair near the crown to add volume.
