What is your favorite way to wear a pull thru?
To see your own photo recreations of this style featured in our app, feel free to tag your photos on IG with: #CGHPullThruUpdoItems Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, hair elastics, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 10 minutes
Skill Level: medium
Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Take a vertical section of on one side of your head. (Part should be just behind the ear) Secure with a small clear elastic sitting about 2″ above your neck.
- Take another vertical section behind the first one. Secure with a small clear elastic.
- Take the first ponytail and split into two pieces. Pick up the second ponytail and pull it in between the two pieces of the first ponytail. Pin #2 out of the way temporarily.
- Working beside ponytail #2, pick up another small section of hair and add the 2 pieces from ponytail #1. Secure with a small clear elastic.
- Repeat Steps 3-4 until you run out of new hair to add. Then continue the pull thru until you reach the end of your hair.
- Now you are going to start pulling the edges of your braid. Pull like crazy until you get a nice fluffy braid!
- Pull a little at the crown of your head for a little fullness.
- Go back and tweak any sections that need fixing.
- Once you have the fullness you desire, pin loops as needed with bobby pins.
- Take the end of your braid, tuck it under your full braid and secure with bobby pins.
- Spray with hairspray {if desired}.
