Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes

Skill Level: Easy

Step-By-Step Instructions:

  1. Pick up a small section of hair from the front of your hair, just behind your bangs.  Divide into two pieces and begin a dutch fishtail braid.  This is where you cross your strands under instead of over.
  2. After a couple of stitches, add in a small new pieces of hair to the strand you are crossing over to create a french fishtail.
  3. Stop adding in new hair once you have braided down a couple of inches.  Continue your dutch fishtail all the way down.
  4. Go back and pancake your braid to create volume, secure with a small elastic.
  5. Next, pick up a small section of hair just behind your fishtail braid.  Divide into two pieces and begin a dutch fishtail.  Braid a couple of inches and then stop adding in new hair.  Continue with a regular fishtail all the way down the hair.
  6. Go back and pancake your braid to create volume, then secure with a small elastic.
  7. Now, pick up two sections of hair from the front opposite side of your head.  Twist them both backward into two twists.
  8. Pull your twists and braids to the back of your head (placed slightly to one side) and secure them all together with an elastic.
  9. Optional:  pick up a small piece of hair next to your elastic and wrap around your elastic to create a hair wrapped pony.  Secure with a bobby pin or tuck the end down through the elastic.
  10. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.
