Today’s hairstyle is so pretty and the perfect hairstyle for beginners!  You can do this on long hair as well as medium hair.  It is also appropriate for a wide age range.  All you need to know is how to do a regular 3strand braid.  It is so easy and quick, you can add this to your easy hairstyles for school list. Time Requirement: 5-10 minutes

Skill Level: Easy

Step-By-Step Instructions:

  1. Start by parting your hair to one side.
  2. Next, you are going to micro crimp the hair you are going to braid. {you could crimp all the hair if desired} For this hairstyle crimp the hair on the weak side of the part; from the part down to the ear & back to the crown.
  3. Pull all remaining hair into a temporary ponytail to keep out of the way.
  4. Now divide your hair into three sections.  Try to divide into equal sections. {If desired, leave a few wispy’s down around the face.}
  5. Clip two sections out of the way temporarily.
  6. Pick up the first section you are going to braid and begin a 3-strand braid.
  7. Pancake your braid on just one side.  When you reach the bottom, secure your braid with a small elastic.
  8. Starting at the bottom, roll your braid up until you reach the head.
  9. Lay the flower just behind the ear and secure with bobby pins.
  10. Repeat steps 6-8 on the other two sections.  Place your flowers in a triangle position and secure with bobby pins.
  11. Remove the elastic from your remaining hair.
  12. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.
