Heidi

Very few people know at a young age what they want to do for a career when they grow up. Most people would have guessed that Heidi would have become a professional athlete since she spent most of her weekends playing in soccer tournaments, joined both the girls soccer and boys football teams in high school, then went on to play Division 1 college soccer after gaining a full scholarship to UC Riverside. But, during all of those years of rough and tough training and playing, Heidi was busy creating unique hairstyles and experimenting with hair color on herself and her female teammates, and occasionally using her football teammates as (willing) victims to practice men’s haircutting.

Upon graduating college and retiring as an athlete, Heidi finally began her journey as a hairstylist.
After completing cosmetology school and an instructor training program, she has had the opportunity to volunteer for the past 2 years as an educator with The Trade Foundation in Cambodia to teach local women various subjects within the field of cosmetology. Currently Heidi works as a full-time hair and makeup artist for weddings and events, does freelance educating for stylists interested in expanding their updo skills, and is also passionate about promoting positive body image and healthy marriages. No wonder she is in the beauty and wedding industry!

With the holidays in our midst, I just love seeing all the sparkle. From the twinkle lights hanging all around…
