Knotted Braid | Updo Hairstyles

This cute braided hairstyle was submitted by a viewer from Moldova, asking me if I could figure it out. It took me quite a few tries, but I did eventually get it. (As always, if you see an amazing hairstyle and want to submit it… simply email me!)
This hairstyle is a little different than a standard daisy chain braid, as you will see from the video tutorial. Once you get the knotting right, the style can be done very quickly, and you can even do it on yourself (trust me, if I can do it… so can you)!
The knots are very easy to take out, just like any other braid. This is an absolutely beautiful braid that will leave people asking you how you did it!
A few viewers on YouTube suggested that I list this as a Homecoming/Prom Updo hairstyle, because it is so unique and can be accessorized in any number of ways. Here are a couple more views of this cute knotted-braid hairstyle…

Cute Twistback Flip Under | Girls Hairstyles

What is fun about having posted so many cute and easy hairstyles on this site, is that you can use any combinations of past styles to create a new one!
Here is a hairstyle that incorporates concepts used in previous tutorials I have done. The end result is very cute…
This style incorporates a front-to-side twist as well as a side-ponytail flipunder. To vary the hair style a bit, you can use a French Front or a Reverse French Front instead of the front twist. Oh, yes… and now you can watch the new tutorials in HD, if you wish!
For anyone looking to purchase a Topsy Tail, you can purchase one from the Amazon link in my left sidebar… or you can make your own with wire or a pipe cleaner (I will be posting a tutorial on how to do the latter in the next week).
Items Needed: Rat-tail comb, water spray bottle, one ponytail holder, Topsy Tail.
Time Requirement: 2-3 minutes.

Here is another hairdo that can help satisfy the many requests for Back-to-School Hairstyles! It is perfectly simple, and literally only takes a minute or two to do (even for dads)! In fact, many of our styles will make for great Back-to-School looks!
Funny enough, I filmed this hairstyle in early July and posted it on YouTube a few weeks ago. Many of you know that I just returned from Hawaii on vacation. While flying home, on the plane I watched “The Last Song” with Miley Cyrus. If you have seen the movie, released earlier this year, you will notice that Miley’s character wore this hairstyle during the funeral scene near the end of the film. I thought it looked just as cute on Miley as it does on my girls! I know you will like how easy this hairstyle is to do, and is is perfect for little girls, tweens, teens, and moms! This is one of a few cute and easy hairstyles I have been seeing around a lot lately. This hairdo I saw on a staffer at the GTU shoot a few weeks ago and it is super easy for those mornings when you literally only have a minute before rushing out the door. Moms can use it, teens too, and even little girls! This hair style looks good with straight hair, and even better with somewhat curly hair and an accesory. The example I show below is on my daughter’s straight hair…
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb (for the part), Topsy Tail, one large hairband, hairspray, accessories (as needed).
Time Requirement: 2 minutes
Skill Level: Easy

Some people have asked for more tutorials on how to use the Topsy Tail, and this one is a perfect example of how to use it. You can do this without the tool, by using your fingers to push the ponytail through… but the Topsy Tail does it effortlessly and without pain.
